.: Happy Birthday Kyler & Carsten

2 years ago today, God blessed me a second time with 2 more beautiful little boys, Kyler Christian and Carsten Lee. I had another amazing pregnancy which I thoroughly enjoyed up until the end when I was so huge that chasing two 2 1/2 year olds and doing anything else became a major task!

6 days before delivery

Kyler and Carsten were born on a Saturday, 2 days before I was scheduled to have a C-section because Kyler, a.k.a. "baby A" was breech. We had decided from the beginning that we weren't going to find out what we were having, so the anticipation in the operation room was heavy.

7:55 am "It's a boy!"

....and then again, 7:58 am "It's a boy!"

We felt so blessed to add two more little boys to our family and couldn't wait to share the news with our family and friends!

My how the last two years have flown by. My beautiful boys are now running, talking up a storm, and very good at "expressing" their feelings. :) They love to copy everything (and I do mean everything) that their big brothers do and they try so hard to keep up with them. It is so fun to watch them playing, by themselves, with each other and as a group.

I feel so very blessed, honored, and overwhelmed that God has given me the huge responsibility and most important job of being called "mommy". It has been an amazing journey full of love, laughter, and joy along with a lot of learning, growing, and patience. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Kyler and Carsten; to see how much they will grow and change in the next year. I know it will continue to be an exciting journey and I can't wait. Although, as a mommy, there will always be a part of me that secretly (okay, not so secretly!) wishes that I could just freeze time or slow it waaaaay down so that I could keep them my babies forever.

I love you Kyler and Carsten more than you will ever know. There are no words in any language that could ever do justice to the way that I feel about you and the love that I have for you. You are both truly blessings and miracles and I pray that I will never take for granted the precious gifts from God that you are in my life. Mommy loves you more and more every day and there is not now, nor will there ever be anything that will change my love for you! Happy birthday to my "babies"!
