This year we took the boys to a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. They also had animals to feed, pony rides, and a tractor pulled ride out to the pumpkin patch. Unfortunately, we went so late in the season, all the pumpkins were picked over. So we picked some up at the "store" area of the pumpkin patch instead of out in the field. Next year we will try to be more organized!! It was a fun, muddy ride anyway!
Later, we let the boys play with the pumpkin "guts" just to see what they would think. They weren't sure what to do at first, but when they were done there were pumpkin seeds all over the floor and Camden had even eaten a few!! Gross! It was fun to watch them and see their faces as they felt the slimy inside of the pumpkin.
Then Halloween night we dressed the boys up in their pumpkin costumes. We didn't take them trick or treating, but we thought it would be fun to dress them up for when the kids came to the door. They loved wearing their costumes and have even worn them a few times since Halloween just at home while they are playing!! They looked so adorable, I can't wait to take them out trick or treating next year!
