Chris' brother Brian and his family came out to stay with us for 9 days. We had soooo much fun and did soooo much while they were here! As the saying goes "time flies when you're having fun"! I wanted to share a few pictures from the things we did while they were here. Enjoy!
San Diego Zoo
Kyler & Carsten enjoying all the animals at the San Diego Z00
Camden, Braeden, & Kade were excited to get their maps and see all the animals too!
I found two of THE cutest little monkeys at the zoo and was able to bring them home with me!
This monkey was engrossed in this carabiner. He would rub it on the tree to watch it spin open and then spin it back shut with his hands. He did this over and over....such smart animals!
The orangutans were so entertaining! They were somersaulting and barrel rolling down the hills and right up by the window, showing off for the crowd!
And here is my little monkey, Braeden, trying to climb the pole just like the monkeys were doing.
I love moments like this and I'm so glad I captured it to remember forever!
Carsten made a beeline for the chair and this is how he laid. I guess riding around in a stroller with someone pushing you up and down huge hills all day must be awfully exhausting! hee hee
Kyler agreed with Carsten that being pushed in his stroller was very exhausting. He was totally in a zone!
Disneyland
All 4 boys took a nap on the way to Disneyland which was great because it was a very long day!
Our family picture in front of the Walt Disney & Mickey Mouse statue with the castle in the background. We take one here each time we go!
Brian, Trish, Zach, & Kade
After an hour wait in line, the boys got to meet Mickey Mouse and they were soooo excited!
Me with my sweet "babies". I can't believe they are almost 2, where has the time gone?!
The boys loved the petting zoo area where they got to love on some goats.
Kyler & Carsten spent a lot of time in their stroller while we were out and about at all the different places we went and they were amazing; we rarely heard a peep out of them...literally!
Camden & Braeden loved the carousel and I'm so glad they don't have the motion sickness issues that I do!
A Day at Home
We decided to stay home on Saturday and just hang out. Chris smoked some turkey legs and pork loin, which was amazing and we just enjoyed talking and watching the kids play. It was a nice day to relax and recharge for more all day outings!
Seaworld
One of my favorite pictures from the entire visit. All of the little ones together watching the beluga whales. Such great memories!
Aunt Trish took the kids on some rides. It was Camden and Braeden's first time doing carnival rides and I was so worried, hoping that they wouldn't get sick....because I know that is what would happen to me. Thank goodness, they loved the rides!
We got to the Sesame Street area just in time to see the characters come out and perform. The kids were gaga and couldn't take their eyes off of them, it was so cool!
Dolphin Show
The new turtle exhibit...I love turtles!
And what better way to end a fun filled day then with some daddy time. Brian and Chris took turns reading books to the boys and they loved every minute of it. I just love seeing dads take the time to minister to their children's hearts by just simply spending time with them. This was an awesome moment and I just had to run and get the camera to capture it!
Hotel del Coronado/Beach Day
The kids had a blast at the beach, playing in the sand, running on top of huge mounds of sand, and splashing in the water. It was a beautiful day and a nice change of pace from the fun of the theme parks.
Last Full Day
Brian and Trish celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on August 4th but didn't actually go do anything alone on that day. They had originally planned a dinner cruise, but in the end decided they would both much rather go hiking in the mountains surrounding Temecula. So they found a trail and on their last full day with us, they left the kids at home with me so they could have some one on one time. They had an awesome time hiking and took some amazing pictures. They also tried Thai food for the first time which they both enjoyed as well. While they were gone, the kids had fun playing with their cars, watching videos and playing outside. It was a great last day!
